Managing your photo gallery

Many sites will have an integrated photo gallery, which like most things on your website can be managed from a central location. This tutorial will cover the most common photo gallery actions, including adding and removing photos, modifying captions, and organizing albums.

Adding images to your photo gallery

After logging into your site, select Gallery, then Add Gallery. You can then choose to upload individual images by clicking Upload Images, or a zip file full of pictures by selecting Upload a Zip-FIle.

Select the Browse button and navigate to your files, then select the “photos | photos” option in the drop-down menu. This will place the photos into the default photo gallery on your site. If you have multiple photos and would like to categorize photos into separate galleries and albums, click here for advanced usage instructions.

Your digital images may contain addition information recorded by your camera. Selecting the Add Metadata box will capture this information and add it to your image details.

When you are ready to add your photos, simply click Upload images and be patient while your photos are made available on your website.

Removing Images from your photo gallery

After logging into your site, select Gallery, then Manage Gallery. On the right side of the screen, select “Edit” under the Action heading.

This will load a page showing all of the images in your gallery, as well as the descriptions and image titles. The Delete link for photos is on the right side of the screen. You may change any of the values in the description and title fields, which will be reflected on your web site. You may also change the order in which photos are displayed in your gallery by using the Sort gallery button.
