Managing items on your sidebar
Your site may have one or more vertical bars containing navigation, information, or links on the left or right side of the page. Each entry on one of these sidebars is called a Widget, and can be managed easily from within your administrative panel.
To manage your sidebar, click Design, then Widgets after logging in to your site. You will be presented with a two-column page displaying all of the available Widgets on the left, with all of the Widgets currently in use on your site listed on the right.
Adding Widgets to your site is as simple as clicking the “Add” button next to the Widget name. Once added, a Widget may be modified by selecting the “edit” option in the rightmost column. Widgets can also be reordered simply by dragging them into place.

Some Widgets of interest:
- Pages: Displays the pages on your site as a navigation menu. In most cases you can change the name of your navigation menu by editing this Widget. This Widget will be enabled and configured on your site by default.
- Recent Posts: If you utilize the blog feature of your site this Widget will display the titles of your most recent entries on your sidebar. You may display up to 15 headlines.
- Text: With this Widget you can add simple text blocks to your sidebar. These are perfect for “About” boxes or informational blurbs.
- NEXTGen Gallery: If you are using the Gallery on your site this Widget will display a few random photos.
Remember to click the Save Changes button after updating your Widgets. Any changes made to your Widgets will appear on your site immediately.
